E-Sports Are Now a Professional Sport Subject to Report

The Minister of Tourism and Sports in the capacity of the Chair of the Professional Sports Committee under the Professional Sports Promotion Act B.E. 2556 (A.D. 2013) announced in the Government Gazette on 20th September 2021 that e-sport is now recognized as a professional sport under the Professional Sports Promotion Act, and that all associations and clubs of professional e-sport athletes are required to report their operations to the Professional Sports Registrar within 90 days from 21st September 2021, i.e. 19th December 2021.
