LawPlus Welcomes A New Partner And Four New Attorneys To The Firm

LawPlus is pleased to announce that Paul Westover, who has more than 30 years’ experience of working in Asia, has joined the firm as a Partner, Ravipat Mullijarupongs has joined the firm as a Senior Associate, and Warit Lertwuthisart, Sitanan Bhumichitr and Kawalee Techasupatkul have joined as Associates.

Mr. Kowit Somwaiya, Managing Partner of LawPlus, commented: “We are delighted to be joined by such talented attorneys who will make an excellent addition to the LawPlus team in providing added experience, expertise, and knowledge so as to continue to service the firm’s clients to the high standards they expect from the firm”.

The new attorneys will bolster LawPlus’ extisting practice areas of corporate and commercial, M&A, foreign direct investment, dispute resolution and intellectual property.

Paul Westover  joins the firm from Stephenson Harwood, where he previously led its corporate group in Greater China.  Throughout his career Paul has worked with leading law firms, and has been admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales since 1987 and in Hong Kong since 1991.  Paul has extensive corporate/commercial experience gained across Asia and focuses on mergers and acquisitions, specifically cross border, joint ventures, private equity and inward investment into Asia.  He also advises clients on a range of corporate/commercial matters, including corporate governance and complex commercial agreements, many having a cross border element.  He has worked for clients in a range of industries including manufacturing, supply chain, corporate services, laboratory testing services, real property, IT, sports and entertainment.  His experience in a broad range of corporate and commercial, as well as corporate finance, matters will be an excellent addition to LawPlus’ Corporate group and add value to our clients.

Ravipat Mullijarupongs specialises in commercial litigation, where he mainly represents corporate clients on disputes related to corporate and commercial matters, as well as employment, competition, intellectual property, data privacy, anti-corruption and consumer protection.  He worked with two law firms for over 20 years before he joined LawPlus.

The new attorneys include:

Warit Lertwuthisart, warit.lertwuthisart@lawplusltd.com, joins the firm’s Corporate group and will practice in the areas of corporate and commercial, M&A and foreign direct investment.  Warit holds an LL.M. in banking and finance law from Queen Mary University of London and an LL.B. from Thammasat University.

Sitanan Bhumichitr, sitanan.bhumichitr@lawplusltd.com, also joins the firm’s Corporate group and will practice in the areas of corporate and commercial, M&A and foreign direct investment.  Sitanan holds an LL.B. from Thammasat University.

Kawalee Techasupatkul, kawalee.techasupatkul@lawplusltd.com, joins the firm’s Intellectual Property group and will focus her practice on trademarks and patents.  Kawalee holds an LL.B. (1st Class Honours) in business law from Thammasat University.
