The Government of Myanmar through the Department of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with other relevant government agencies held the first ever International Conference on Intellectual Property 2025 in NayPyiTaw, Myanmar on 3-4 July 2025. During the two days of the conference, local and foreign IP law professionals and experts presented and discussed 59 topics on various aspects of IP laws and practices and related legal, economic, social and technological issues.
At the opening session of the conference, our Managing Partner, Kowit Somwaiya, gave a keynote speech as the first foreigner speaker. He also acted as the chairperson of one of the three concurrent sessions in the afternoon of the 3rd of July, where seven IP professionals and experts presented their speeches and papers.
