On 11th September 2026, the Ministry of Commerce (“MOC”) issued its Notification No. 2/2026 to specify the rates of the official fees in Myanmar Kyat (“MMK”) for filing applications in relation to GI matters under the Myanmar Trademark Law 2019 (“TML 2019”). We summarized the types of applications and the official fee rates specified in the Notification in the table below.
The MOC will later announce a date on which the IPD will start to accept filings of GI applications.
